Questions you might have
Do I need special scanning hardware?
No. OTD runs on ordinary Android and iOS phones and scans QR and barcodes with the regular camera — no separate scanner hardware needed.
What happens if the venue's wifi is bad or goes down?
Nothing stops at the door. After the first sync, scanning works completely offline. New tickets and check-ins sync automatically whenever a device gets a connection again.
How does pricing work?
You pay per ticket, not per scan or per device — use as many devices as you need at no extra cost. The price per ticket steps down automatically as you scan more.
Can I connect my existing ticketing or sales system?
Yes. Import tickets in bulk via CSV, or connect your sales system to the API so new tickets are created in OTD automatically.
Is there a limit on how many devices I can use?
